Stepping outside once a day can do great benefits. Sometimes all you need is fresh vitamin C to impact your mood. Feeling the fresh air is one way to get you out of depression. Remember to take some time to feel the air against your face. That’s why you need to take some time out to stay focused. Spend at least one hour a day outside to do whatever you want. Empty the trash, walk your dog or do some errands. You can also go to a party. As long as you feel emotionally relieved.

Take a moment to silence your phones. Swap your phone with a good book to read. While you’re on your daily walk, go to the library. You might find a cool drama or mystery novel. Pick whatever you want to read. Make a constant effort to read for at least 1 hour every day. You know what they say, reading is fundamental. Keep your mind alert with educational books as well. If you want to learn a new skill, read up on it. You may learn something insightful. Get a codependent buddy for your reading if you want. Or you could read a good audiobook.

You’ll be releasing tension and have great leisure time.

Send a Thank You Note

One of the simplest ways to show kindness is through a letter. Expressing your gratitude can be therapeutic to your mind. It’s also a form of journaling your thoughts out. Wherever you’re having negative thoughts, think of your loved ones. Think of the people who have done the little things for you. For example: your dog walker, 2nd-grade teacher, or the ice cream man. Write them a short letter to say thank you. It can be through email or in person. You can also write one just for practice. Writing a letter also works for anger management. Writing is very cathartic to the mind.
